Vai até 12 de junho a 8ª edição da MITsp (Mostra Internacional de Teatro de São Paulo), que marca o retorno da programação presencial com espetáculos em diversos palcos da capital paulista. No pós-pandemia, mais ainda sob ameaça de uma 4ª onda de Covid no Brasil, a MITsp ressurge com uma vontade expressa de recuperar um tempo perdido. Mas, por se tratar de teatro, esse “tempo perdido” ganha muitas camadas não só com os espetáculos selecionados a dedo pela rigorosa curadoria, mas sobretudo por assumir a diversidade como razão de ser da mostra.
Quem esteve presente na abertura da MITsp, na quinta-feira (2) deve ter notado um público diverso para ver os discursos de abertura e também o espetáculo francês Estádio (Stadium), de Mohamed El Khatib. Um dos diretores da MITsp, Guilherme Marques, foi preciso ao lembrar que a relevância da classe teatral em tempos sombrios: “A arte cênica tem papel fundamental para refletir sobre os futuros, para imaginar novos futuros, não só das artes, mas da humanidade”. E complementou: “Não morreremos, estamos vivos e vivos vamos continuar lutando pela democracia”.
A diversidade se expressa na MITsp ao abraçar, em sua curadoria, artistas trans, indígenas e negros. Os espetáculos tratam dessas temáticas, mas não só. Há um evidente esforço em contar histórias não-hegemônicas, de diferentes recortes sociais e matrizes religiosas, por exemplo. Ao trazer artistas nacionais de outros estados, com espetáculos já consagrados ou outros inéditos para o público paulista, a mostra oferece um grande panorama das artes cênicas como esse espaço do diverso, do outro, do eu, do nós.
A secretaria de Cultura da capital, Aline Torres, já afirmava em seu discurso: “A mostra deste ano vai ser o grito de nossa sociedade”. Eduardo Saron, diretor do Itaú Cultural, fez questão de lembrar “o quanto a cultura tem vencido o negacionismo”. É dentro dessa concepção curatorial que a MITsp abre espaço para Antes do Tempo Existir, espetáculo de artistas indígenas e não indígenas, que trata das várias existências no planeta (Ver abaixo a programação ou no site da MITsp). No palco, os artistas Andreia Duarte, Denilson Baniwa, Kenia Dias, Lilly Baniwa e Ricardo Alves Junior se debruçam sobre a palestra O Silêncio do Mundo (2020), uma reflexão de Ailton Krenak.
Dentro da plataforma MITbr, que desde 2018 se tornou um importante eixo da mostra, espetáculos de artistas de diferentes Estados brasileiros ganham palco para, potencialmente, conseguirem alçar voos nacionais e internacionais. A atriz Leonarda Glück, do Paraná, faz um contraponto entre a questão da transexualidade e o contexto político e social brasileiro, portanto trata de fricções e tensões reais, no manifesto cênico Trava Bruta. A atriz Jaqueline Elesbão, do Coletivo Pico Preto da Bahia, traz o solo Despacho Deferido, em que interage com rostos negros, joga capoeira, xadrez, dominó e sinuca, dança com um ataque, e, ao mesmo tempo, questiona as narrativas negras na sociedade brasileira. O secretario estadual de Cultura, Sérgio Sá Leitão, afirmou que 15 grupos ou coletivos das artes cênicas brasileiros serão levados para o Festival Fringe, em Edinburgo, na Escócia. Trata-se do maior festival de artes do mundo, que neste ano ocorrerá em agosto.
Vale da Estranheza, solo de Rimini Protokoll, é o único espetáculo estrangeiro que ainda dá para ver nesta edição da MITsp. Lido como um “freakshow”, a peça mostra a relação entre homem e máquinas (robôs) na perspectiva de discutir o quanto temos controle de nós mesmos. Tragédia e Perspectiva I – O Prazer de Não Estar de Acordo, peça inédita, marca o reencontro entre o diretor argentino Lisandro Rodrigues e o brasileiro Alexandre Dal Farra. Eles já trabalharam juntos em Abnegação III – Restos, encenada na Argentina. O novo espetáculo trata da cegueira política, em voga no Brasil e no país vizinho, e de como acabamos se desencantando com a própria vida.
