Gabinete de Curiosidades, com dramaturgia de Gilberto Schwartsmann e direção de Luciano Alabarse, é uma declaração de amor ao Teatro. É Teatro com T grandão, maiúsculo. A generosidade das palavras acima não é gratuita, mas uma tentativa de retratar como essa montagem em curtíssima temporada em São Paulo é uma grata surpresa para quem acompanha as artes cênicas. Humor com inteligência, crítica com sutileza, nostalgia com reverência, melancolia com amor, a dupla de atores gaúchos Arlete Cunha e Zé Adão Barbosa entregam, de forma soberba, uma interpretação que não deixa de representar as suas próprias carreiras, mas também as de tantos artistas.
A peça Gabinete de Curiosidades está em cartaz até o próximo fim de semana no Teatro Anchieta, do Sesc Consolação. O texto original é do livro O Sol Brilhou na Currúpnia (Editora Sulina), de Schwartsmann, que retrata um país imaginário, onde as injustiças imperam, o desrespeito às diferenças e aos indivíduos prevalece e os abismos sociais criam barreiras intransponíveis para os que estão abaixo. É nesse contexto que a arte e a cultura são vilipendiadas, destratadas, desrespeitadas.
Corte. Na peça, a crítica sócio-política do livro se torna mais sutil, jogando luz à dupla Oneirópolos (Zé Adão) e Disoínos (Arlete), dois ex-atores nonagenários que vivem em um asilo. Ele é um otimista (o significado de seu nome em grego); ela, uma pessimista. Presos um ao outro, não só fisicamente, mas sobretudo pelas memórias de vidas que se entrelaçaram nos diversos palcos que já pisaram, Oneirópolos acorda um dia avisando à companheira que descobriu que há um concurso para escrever e montar um texto teatral. É o mote para que cada um, velhos atores que são, comece a lembrar, com delicadeza e humor, suas trajetórias que trazem, como bagagem, muitos personagens e autores do teatro e da literatura. Um “gabinete de curiosidades” (sem spoiler) subirá ao palco, levado por Disoínos.
É metalinguagem, é homenagem à história do teatro, tão bem lembrados no texto, e nas várias citações e passagens encenadas pela dupla. Autores como Tennessee Williams, Platão, Aristóteles, Sófocles, Shakespeare, Molière, Bertold Brecht, Samuel Beckett, Dostoievsky, Thomas Mann, Nelson Rodrigues, Plínio Marcos, entre tantos, surgem um após o outro numa genial aula de dramaturgia e literatura. O dramaturgo gaúcho quis, nesse texto teatral, fazer uma reverência ao ofício do ator, que Zé Adão e Arlete tão bem conseguem transmitir no palco, não só nas falas, mas também em diversas cenas.
A peça Gabinete de Curiosidades é triste, mas ao mesmo tempo cômica, como faz questão de contrapor o ator Fernando Zugno, que faz uma participação especial nas diferentes cenas da montagem. Se o drama (dois velhos artistas abandonados em um asilo) é real, a farsa e o burlesco também podem estar presentes, tornando o desfecho uma espécie de lavação da alma coletiva de quem vê a peça.
