| O Teatro Ventoforte foi destruído em fevereiro por máquinas da Prefeitura de São Paulo, que entraram no terreno que a companhia ocupava, no Parque do Povo, e reduziram a detritos os espaços cênicos e a Escola de Capoeira Angola Cruzeiro do Sul (que atuava em simbiose com o teatro, encabeçada por Mestre Meinha). Sete meses depois, o Ventoforte ressurge no palco do Sesc Belenzinho para retomar sua história e legado. No próximo dia 27 de setembro, ao meio-dia, será apresentado no Sesc Belenzinho o espetáculo História de Lenços e Ventos, criado em 1974 pelo fundador do grupo, Ilo Krugli, em plena ditadura civil-militar. O nome da companhia vem desse texto, que marcou a fundação do Teatro Ventoforte e é apontado como um espetáculo que “revolucionou a cena infantil ao tratar com poesia, imaginação e simplicidade temas de resistência e esperança”. Reconhecida pelo público e pela crítica, a peça percorreu o mundo e atravessou gerações de artistas. Ilo Krugli, nascido na Argentina e radicado no Brasil, é apontado como um artista que transformou o teatro para as infâncias no Brasil, promovendo a integração de linguagens, incorporando as culturas populares brasileiras e expandindo o conceito de ação social e cultural. Após mais de cinco décadas de atuação, o grupo enfrentou dois marcos decisivos: a morte de Krugli (em 2019) e a violenta demolição de seu espaço histórico pelo próprio poder público, que deveria preservá-lo. “A partir dessas perdas, novas gerações seguem reinventando a poética por meio de iniciativas como o podcast Lenços e Ventos, as lives Como o Vento, a criação da Associação Memória Viva Ventoforte e propostas como Girassol do Fogo, que unem espetáculos e atividades pedagógicas para manter viva a memória e a força criativa do grupo”, aponta texto do grupo. A remontagem da primeira peça do Ventoforte, na circunstância de vigília e luta pelo reerguimento do espaço físico do Ventoforte, é um esforço da Associação Memória Viva Ventoforte, criada justamente para manter acesa a luta. A nova montagem é dirigida por Rodrigo Mercadante e reúne artistas de diferentes gerações.
